It&#8217;s also a routine of mine to ask if there&#8217;s been any post. This afternoon he said &#8220;Yes, there a few things including a squishy package that looks like yarn.&#8221;! All the way home I wondered what it could be because I wasn&#8217;t expecting anything. Imagine my surprise and delight to open it and find this<\/p>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"diakeito\" src=\"http:\/\/www.scifiville.com\/images\/diakeito.jpg\" width=\"388\" height=\"166\" border=\"0\"  \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Two balls of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dancingfibers.com\/diadomina.html\">Diadomina<\/a> by Diakeito in shade 312! A present from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keyboardbiologist.net\/knitblog\/\">Theresa<\/a>! It&#8217;s 50% wool, 21% mohair and 29% nylon. It&#8217;s like some of the Noro yarns in that&#8217;s it&#8217;s self striping but it&#8217;s very different from the Noro yarns that I&#8217;ve used.  The mohair adds a certain luminosity to the colours in the yarn.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks Theresa! What a fab surprise!<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not sure yet what to make from this. My first instinct is a scarf or something else small but I also like the idea of including it in a larger garment like a cardi or poncho with a co-ordinating solid yarn. <\/p>\n<p>Included in the parcel was a note on this wonderful lemming paper! <\/p>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"lemmings\" src=\"http:\/\/www.scifiville.com\/images\/lemmings.jpg\" width=\"302\" height=\"154\" border=\"0\"  \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Look very closely to the right and you&#8217;ll see a lemming who&#8217;s more into self preservation than the others! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I always call Andy on my way home from work to see if he&#8217;s arrived home yet because we work different hours.
