{"id":72,"date":"2005-07-07T23:40:52","date_gmt":"2005-07-08T05:40:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/scifiville.com\/?p=72"},"modified":"2005-07-07T23:40:52","modified_gmt":"2005-07-08T05:40:52","slug":"a-dark-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.scifiville.com\/?p=72","title":{"rendered":"A Dark Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I remember the IRA bomb attacks and was in London near Soho when a <a href=\"http:\/\/news.bbc.co.uk\/1\/hi\/uk\/781097.stm\">nail bomb<\/a> went off, but <a href=\"http:\/\/news.bbc.co.uk\/1\/hi\/uk_politics\/4662395.stm\">today<\/a> has been really difficult. The radio programme I work on switched into rolling news mode and even after tens years spent in newsrooms it was still pretty horrible to see that image of a London bus with its roof torn off. <\/p>\n<p>I was especially relieved to speak to my aunt and other friends in London and find out that they were safe. <\/p>\n<p>Not much knitting done by me today.
