Sorry guys but what I was planning for this month’s edition hasn’t worked out so there will be no new KnitCast for September. I’ll be back in October.
In the meantime I will be running a competition on the website to make up for the lack of a podcast this month.
Keep checking here for more info.
And speaking of competitions – Thanks to everyone who entered the competition to win a copy of Gifted by Mags Kandis. I’ll be announcing the name of the winner in the October podcast
Thanks to everyone who entered the competition. Comments are now closed on this post. I’ll be announcing the name of the winner in the October podcast.
UK listeners – Search Press are offering £2 off the cover price with free postage when you order the book from them on Tel 01892 510850 quoting Knitcast.
I’m closing down the KnitCast email list on Yahoo. Please switch to my new email list instead if you’d still like to receive updates.
The music used for the KnitCast theme is called Knit Away by Stephen Wheel. Thanks Stephen!

Some members of the Ravelry KnitCast group, and Lucy herself, told me that the interview cut off suddenly! I checked the file and the last few minutes had been cut off when it was turned into an mp3.
I’ve now re-exported the interview and uploaded it so you can hear those final minutes. You’ll need to redownload the interview in order to hear those extra minutes.

As some of you have already noticed the link in the previous post didn’t lead to KnitCast 30 – Crafting Vacation at all but to the Lucinda Guy interview! The link in the podcast feed was fine but somehow I messed up with the one in the post. Sorry about that! It’s all fixed now
Ever fancied going on holiday/vacation with other crafters? Knitter and travel agent Dianne Reade-Jackson tells me all about the Crafty Pod and Knitty “London, Bath and Wales” tour.

The Vivienne Westwood socks Lucinda tells me about were from her On Liberty collection which according to designer Anna Bell/Amelia Raitte was from autumn/winter 1994/95. You can see a picture of them on Anna’s blog My Fashionable Life.

This edition has been recorded in mono to avoid the recent issues with stereo recordings in Pamela.
It took me a while to create the banner, or rather to find the time to create the banner!, but the KnitCast Ravelry group is now operational
So far it’s a bit lonely as I’m the only member – cue violins – So I hope you’ll join me there and that the group will be another place where you can share your thoughts about the show with me.
(I’m releasing this early so that no one misses out on the free pattern if they pre-order the book)
I chat to designer Woolly Wormhead about a multitude of things including her new book “Twisted Woolly Toppers”, how she got her name, and her love of hats.
