for the foreseeable future. I’m certainly not done with podcasting but I don’t have the time for it right now. I hope to bring it back later this year but can’t make any guarantees.
In the meantime I’m running a competition to win a copy of Norsk Strikkedesign on my knitting blog. The competition closes over there on March 18th.
Hello all. It’s not been a great month for me as you’ll know if you read my personal blog. And now I have chronic toothache! I have an infection in the root of one of my teeth which will be removed next week.
As a result I’m putting the podcast on hold for a month. So Knitcast will be back on December 1st. When I hope to be feeling a lot better!
Sorry guys but what I was planning for this month’s edition hasn’t worked out so there will be no new KnitCast for September. I’ll be back in October.
In the meantime I will be running a competition on the website to make up for the lack of a podcast this month.
Keep checking here for more info.
And speaking of competitions – Thanks to everyone who entered the competition to win a copy of Gifted by Mags Kandis. I’ll be announcing the name of the winner in the October podcast
Some members of the Ravelry KnitCast group, and Lucy herself, told me that the interview cut off suddenly! I checked the file and the last few minutes had been cut off when it was turned into an mp3.
I’ve now re-exported the interview and uploaded it so you can hear those final minutes. You’ll need to redownload the interview in order to hear those extra minutes.
Sorry about the glitch!
As some of you have already noticed the link in the previous post didn’t lead to KnitCast 30 – Crafting Vacation at all but to the Lucinda Guy interview! The link in the podcast feed was fine but somehow I messed up with the one in the post. Sorry about that! It’s all fixed now
I recorded it yesterday and it’ll be live early next week! I’m very excited to be podcasting again and hope that you enjoy it.
KnitCast is going to be monthly and the plan is that there’ll be a new edition around the beginning of each month.
As always I’m very interested in your suggestions so if there’s someone you’d like to hear interviewed, let me know and I’ll see what I can do. If you’re interested in putting yourself forward for an interview then likewise get in touch. I don’t guarantee that I’ll be able to do so, however.
You can get in touch in several ways. You can leave a comment here. You can email me – feedback AT knitcast.com, remembering to replace the AT for an @ symbol. You can contact me via Ravelry my username there is knitcast. I’m also on Twitter and have accounts for KnitCast and my personal account. If you just want news of the latest episode then just follow KnitCast. If you want my personal tweets also then follow both if you wish And of course there’s my knitting blog
Older episodes – I’m redesigning this site but the old eps are still all here. The RSS feed is fixed and some of the editions that have been a little harder to find in iTunes are now back there.
My blogs have been subject to attacks from spammers over the past
five days. Their comments didn't make it to the publishing stage
because TypePad has been excellent at recognising spam. However, I have
comment notification by email and was getting all of the spammy
comments that way. There were so many of them hogging my email that I
couldn't find actual emails that people had sent which was really
As a result of all this I've had to close comments
and trackbacks on all of my blog posts for both blogs. I'm only going
to enable comments for recent posts in the future. Sadly, this is
something that I'm going to just have to keep an eye on in the future.
This has been cross posted to SpaceCraft.
