S-Mitten

You may remember that I was knitting a glove. Well I’m not so good at knitting fingers – when you knit with two circulars you pull the second stitch on your needle tight to avoid ladders, however this also means that fingers in gloves are too tight. Yes I could have tried knitting them looser but instead I opted for a fingerless mitten. I then decided to pick up stitches on the back of the mitten and construct a mitten shell to pop over my fingers when I want to keep them warm.

Today we went to Lampeter to work on an outside broadcast, this meant four hours of travelling time there and back which meant four hours of knitting time.

So I decided to cast on for the Very Harlot Poncho in my Art Fibers Amaretto

It’s not a great close-up but I think you get the idea. I started the second ball tonight.
