Still Knitting…

just really tired.

I’m currently working on the Stitch Diva Art Nouveau poncho although I have a horrible feeling that I’ve twisted the cast on. I’m not sure what to do about this – cut it and overcast the hem in a sparkly type thread? Or start again?

Not sure if the former would work because the stitch work is quite open and lacey. Not sure if I have the patience to do the latter. 🙁

Ahh the twisted cast-on-in-the-round. Can’t tell you how many times I’v pulled off that one! Not a frogger, I usually fudge: if there are only a few rows, I simply twist the work back into proper place and continue. Then I either crochet or graft the twisted stitches so they sort of match. You are making a poncho. Are you attaching fringe? Fringe could hide the twist. If too many rows have been worked, you might consider snipping the threads and carefully duplicate stitching them back together. You will have somewhat of a seam, but again, fringe may hide.
    Happy knitting.

This has happened to me a couple of times with socks, and once with a hat. Arrgghhh! I end up frogging, but those are small projects to frog. If you can fudge it gracefully, go for it.
