Felted Fuzzy Feet

They’re not as bad as I made them sound in my last post but they haven’t felted quite as evenly as I would have liked. But they’re very cozy and of course very bright!

The cuff of the right one (which of course is on the left of the picture) is more pink because Colinette sent me two different dye lots. It might have been difficult if it had been for anything else but because these are just going to be worn around the house it’s not a crisis. But I would have preferred the more orange tones to have been consistent throughout the Fuzzy Feet.

I’m still working on my second Agnes cardi from Noro Silk Garden. Will try and post some pics of that later.

Still achey but it’s early days yet.

  1. Hello!
Glad your feeling a little better, those felted slippers are fantastically mad! I love ’em! I would put something on the bottom to make them slip proof…..
Anyway many exciting things to tell you, I’ll mail you today, perahps I can pop around in the week?
    j xx

  2. Kirsty, they took about one and a quarter skeins of Skye. Mine are smaller than the original pattern though, which is for a women’s medium. It may take one and a half skeins of Skye to make the medium. I also adapted the pattern and knit them toe-up on two circular needles.

  3. So glad you are beginning to feel better. Can’t wait to see your Agnes. I’m working on one in Shinano, but find the garter stitch edging keeps folding over and seems to pull it out of shape a bit. Probably my lousy tension!

  4. Oh, the Fuzzy Feet are wonderful. Mine were also pink (I have already worn through them, they are waiting for a needlefelted patch perhaps)… but yours are even more electric than mine ever could have been! Wonderful.
I swear, Colinette yarn is reason enough to travel to Wales (never mind I could feed you soup until you got better). Really. At least in the handpainted yarn department, you got a jackpot.
So glad you are healing, if slowly. I remember the 3 weeks I could not stand up without being dizzy. I did a lot of knitting that time! Hang in and get good & well before venturing out much, OK?

  5. Hi, I just joined the Knitting Kitty blog ring and your the ‘previous’ link to your old site makes you my neighbor! Just wanted to say “Hello neighbor!”
Your pink fuzzy feet are wonderful!

  6. I am very, very happy that you’re feeling better. There are so many odd (new?) things that seem to be striking.
The slippers are wonderful – perfect for a dark and dull winter to pep up life a bit!
Here’s to a full and speedy recovery!

  8. Marie, I notice we have not heard from you in 6 days. I hope deeply that you are healing and resting comfortably, staying away from the computer by choice.
I worry, though. How can I not?
What can we do to help you from out here across the pond and the ether? Somehow my healing vibes perhaps have gotten lost on the way?

  9. Thanks for the pictures! I have had my felted fuzzy feet on the back burner for some time now, and this is giving me inspiration to finish them. I think yours are great!
