I was hoping that I’d be well enough to go back into work today but not long after getting up I was very ill. I went straight to the doctors’ surgery and was given a week’s sick leave and told to eat very bland foods for the week. I came home to find that the hospital had written with the details of my stomach ultrasound. The appointment is for Wednesday morning and I mustn’t eat or drink anything after 12am Tuesday. I also have an appointment for blood tests on wednesday morning at the surgery.
Did a small amount of knitting today on some socks and sewed in the ends of some others. I haven’t felt up to much. While I was off work last week I watched hardly any tv during the day, read Harry Potter 6 instead. I read the first chapter on Tuesday night and finished the book on Friday afternoon. Now I have to wait two years for the final book. Sigh.
Finally a localish yarn store! Saturday Jeni and I managed to make a little trip to the new yarn store in Penarth. It’s called Yarn’n Yarns and sells Colinette, Debbie Bliss, Rowan etc. and from today also sells Noro! I bought a sweater’s worth of Collinette Giotto in Rio and the new "Rock Gods and Movie Stars" pattern book.
I hope everything goes o.k. I shall be thinking of you.
awwwwwww… I’m so sorry. I hope you’ll be back running around in no time. Take care of yourself! hugs.
I’ll be thinking of you too. Let me know how it goes…
Hope you’re feeling better soon! Being sick, well, sucks!
Sorry to butt in but….Where in Penarth? I have been wingeing for so long about how ridiculous it is to have no yarn stores worth the name here now (I miss Siop Jen). I feel some serious credit card damage coming on.
Yuck yuck yuck. I hope you got a diagnosis and and can be successfully treated quickly.
Marie-
